Chief Promoter of CORE:
Mr. B.G. Naidu is the Chief Promoter and President Of CORE. He is a Post Graduate in Indian History from S.V. University in 1976. “Rayalaseema Development Trust”, a reputed NGO, Anantapur, as Community Organizer. In Immediately after graduation he joined 1979 he joined as project Coordinator in “Indian Rural Reconstruction Movement” another NGO working at Vijalapuram in Chittoor District. In the Year 1982 he attended a three- month training Course on “Rural Reconstruction” in Philippines. With this background B.G. NAIDU promoted CORE in 1984.
Mr. B.G. NAIDU is a Professional Trainer who Participated 30 days Trainers Training Course organized by Participatory Research in Asia (PRIYA), New Delhi in1986. He had to his credit, attended Bangladesh Rural Reconstruction Movement, Dhaka, Bangladesh, as a Resource Person for a month. During this period, he visited Grameen Bank of Bangladesh. He worked with Gandhi Peace Centre, New Delhi, from 2001 onwards as project partner where he has got national wide exposure and to the concepts and practice of Gandhian Grama Swaraj.
Strengths of CORE
- CORE is an experienced NGO for about 38 years in the field of Rural Development from 1984 and evolved its own conceptual frame work of development and vision based on the Principles of Social Justice, Gender Equity, Eco-Friendly and Sustainability.
- Experienced in under taking Surveys, Studies and People Participatory Research and Analysis in the areas of Socio-Economic, Educational, Nutritional, Health, Natural Resources, Food Security conditions and developed strategies to over come by making targeted population to participate in the project areas.
- CORE has a Network Member of different NGO Forums of District, State and National Level and contributed to bring policy changes with the Government, in the areas of Employment Guarantee, Food Security, HIV and etc.
- CORE maintaining good rapport with different Departments of Government, NGO’s, Research Institutes and Universities, to bridge gap among them.
- CORE promoted 400 Self Help Groups of Women, 120 Farmer User Groups and developed a Thrift capital of 1 core for their livelihood promotion of poorer sections.
- Organized 1,600 SC., ST families in to 30 Vana Samrakshna Samithies in around 10,000 Hactares of Forest Land.
- CORE has implemented 2 Sub Surface Dams across Swarnamukhi River, Renovated 3 Irrigation Tanks, 25 Watershed Projects involving 5,000 farmers in Kuppam, Chandragiri and Buchi Naidu Kandriga Mandal’s of Chittoor District.
- It has involved 4,000 targeted population in Nutrition, Food Security, Sanitation and Safe Drinking Water, HIV. and TB. Projects in its Project area.
- Integration of bringing Awareness, organizing targeted population, strengthening and promotion of livelihood skills, promotion of safe health and environmental living conditions, is its overall goal of CORE in its sustainable development process.
